Your time, energy, and heart have helped nurture young minds, spark curiosity, and build a brighter future.

This year, let's continue to inspire each other and our students to dream big and reach new heights. Together, we can create a world where every child feels empowered to achieve their full potential.

The Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners has begun the search for a new CEO, who will take office in July 2026. The process includes three phases: profile development, candidate recruitment, and interviews/selection.

Dr. Sonja Santelises, the current CEO, will serve through June 2026 following a one-year contract extension. Appointed in 2017, Dr. Santelises is the district’s longest-serving CEO in 78 years.
