At times students are absent due to a lack of personal care. To encourage student attendance and wellness, the community school coordinator has created wellness stations: sanitation, hair care, hygiene, laundry, and clothing closet. To help sustain these initiatives, the following items are needed:
A. Sanitation Station: maxi pads, pantyliners, baby wipes, latex-free gloves (medium, large, and extra-large), girls’ underwear (sizes 4T to 9), boys’ underwear (sizes 4T to L)
B. Hair Care: hair ties, scrunchies, coconut oil, hair gel, edge control gel, bristle brushes, combs, hair scarves
C. Hygiene: deodorant, hand sanitizer, hand soap, body wash, disposable washcloths, dry shampoo, facial wipes/baby wipes, lip balm, nail brushes
D. Laundry: detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, reusable grocery bags
E. Clothing Closet: gently used clothing and shoes for children, ages 4 to 15
